Certificate Description

Organizations depend on successful projects to drive innovation, improve operations, and achieve strategic goals. Yet many projects fall behind schedule, exceed budgets, or fail to deliver the expected business value. Effective project managers know how to bring structure to complexity while keeping teams focused on outcomes.

Cornell's Project Management Certificate prepares you to lead projects from initiation through completion using proven project management practices. You'll learn how to define scope, build realistic schedules, allocate resources, manage project risk, incorporate Agile methodologies, and measure progress using earned value management (EVM). These practical skills can be applied across industries and to projects of virtually any size.

Whether you're new to project management or looking to strengthen your capabilities, this program provides a solid foundation for leading successful projects and preparing for future professional growth.

Build Your Skills. Prepare for the PMP®.

The Project Management Certificate builds the practical project leadership skills employers value while helping you satisfy the educational requirements needed to pursue the PMP® certification. After completing the certificate, you may also choose to participate in an optional five-week PMP® Exam Preparation Study Group.

During the study group, you'll join live online sessions with an experienced facilitator to review the PMBOK® framework, complete guided practice exams, discuss difficult concepts, and refine your test-taking strategy alongside fellow professionals. The collaborative format helps reinforce your knowledge and build confidence as you prepare for the PMP exam.

Required PMP exam preparation materials must be purchased separately.

You now have two years of access to Symposium! These dynamic, highly interactive virtual Zoom sessions are designed to foster collaboration and networking with fellow professionals. Led by expert facilitators and occasionally featuring special guests, each multi-day event dives into the most pressing topics in Project Management. You can participate in as many sessions as you like throughout the year. While attendance is encouraged, it's not required.

The courses in this certificate program are required to be completed in the order that they appear.
